Hazelett is looking for a motivated and proficient Buyer who supports the planning, procurement, and management of goods and services related to the design and development of all products and equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain/analyze purchasing data in the business system.

  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain product or service information and optimal pricing, terms, and delivery.

  • Prepare purchase orders and quote requests.

  • Resolve supplier issues regarding discrepancies in quality, quantity, and shipping/delivery.

  • Manage supplier relationships per the HSCC QMS system.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to effectively prioritize, organize, identify, and manage multiple tasks concurrently.

  • Working knowledge of integrated business systems and procedures, including Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent follow-through on all projects.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Experience in domestic and offshore procurement desired.

  • Purchasing experience in a technical manufacturing environment is desired.

  • The Buyer is required to interact effectively with personnel in all departments within the company, suppliers, and other interested parties.
