TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Hazelett is looking for a self-motivated Technical Sales Representative with extensive knowledge in the metals industry to market Hazelett’s technology and process to potential customers and promote after-market parts to existing customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze the global aluminum, copper, and lead metals markets and identify potential market segments/customers.

  • Coordinate sales efforts/activities in conjunction with others within the organization and consortium partners.

  • Identify and facilitate product innovation and improvement projects that aim to meet the market’s needs.

  • Serve as the primary interface between Hazelett and potential customers from introduction through project realization.

  • Interface with existing customers to introduce new products, identify opportunities for R&D, and promote the use of OEM parts.

  • Attend industry events (i.e. trade shows, conferences, association meetings, etc.) to promote the Hazelett process and to stay abreast of industry trends.

  • Provide feedback and suggestions to Hazelett’s R&D department regarding potential improvements to the Hazelett casting process.

  • Fulfill the organization’s vision of its products and effectively communicate their status and path forward to relevant/affected parties within the organization.

  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to identify opportunities for cost reductions.

  • Effectively write reports/emails to potential customers and existing customers related to technical products.

  • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and relevant work experience.

  • Ability and desire to travel both domestically and internationally.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to develop creative solutions to problems and work toward resolution/agreement.

  • Demonstrates excellent follow-through on projects.

  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.

  • Knowledge and use of integrated business systems.
