MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN - MAIN SHOP

 Hazelett Corporation is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our team as a Manufacturing Technician on first, second and third shift. This position is in one of Hazelett Work Centers that builds consumable products for our customers.  This is a cradle to gate operation, generating parts from raw materials to final product in a box, ready to ship.  The Manufacturing Technician will use 5-axis CNC router, custom machinery, power tools and hand tools to manufacture Hazelett components.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Working knowledge of CNC equipment, machine repair, and use of hand and power tools.

  • Read and interpret drawings, sketches, instructions, and specifications.

  • Ensure all work procedures and practices comply with the established safety and quality policies and procedures.

  • Measurement to precise dimensions using vernier, calipers and micrometers.

  • Maintaining accurate records and identifying defects in material.

  • Use good judgment in performing tasks and follow all safety procedures.

  • Other assigned tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma (or GED or high school equivalent certificate).

  • CNC experience and/or operation of precision machinery.

  • Demonstrated mechanical ability.

  • Experience with forklift and overhead crane operation (desirable).

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Manufacturing environment.

  • Overtime & weekend work as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
